School Profile

Labogon National High School (LNHS) is a public secondary institution under the Department of Education. Located in Labogon, Mandaue City, LNHS is a child-friendly school that offers both Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) curricula.

LNHS is proud to be the only public SHS institution in Mandaue City offering Sports Strand. Other SHS tracks offered are ABM, GAS, HUMSS, TVE-HE, and TVE-ICT.

LNHS started in 1999 when the surging number of the younger population of barangay Labogon resonated to the need of establishing a secondary school that can address the local community’s demands for education. Answering the problem, the City Council of Mandaue through its thrust, made a resolution for the creation of Labogon National High School.

During its first year of operation, LNHS accepted enrollees for first year and second year classes and consequently, for the next two years, third year and fourth year classes were offered. In 2016, LNHS adopted the K to 12 curricula and started offering both JHS and SHS. Through RA 10533 otherwise known as “The Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013”, each year level is now termed as Grade 7 to Grade 10 for first year high school to fourth year high school, respectively, and added Grade 11 and Grade 12 for SHS.

Being one of the newly founded schools in Mandaue City, LNHS is building its name in the fields of Academics, Sports, and other co-curricular activities. Community linkages have helped us in our continuous aim of providing better education to our clientele. Mandated to nurture the Filipino youth, LNHS is one of the breeding grounds of the country’s future leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals. In its more than 20 years of service, LNHS has been able to produce quality graduates equipped with the right knowledge and guided by the right values.
