LNHS holds Intramural Games 2025
On July 31, 2025 at 8:00am, Labogon National High School (LNHS) opened the Intramural Games at the school gymnasium with the theme “Nurturing Champion for life: Strengthening Values, Wellness and Excellence Through Sports”.
Around 1500 students participated the event organized by the Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH) department headed by Mrs. Joan P. Martinez (MAPEH Coordinator), LNHS staffs and in coordination with Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (BDRRMO).
“The purpose of Intramural Games are to aid students in developing their social skills, promote sportsmanship and teamwork and to provide recreation and stress relief”, she said.
“It is another way of giving the students opportunities to enhance their connectedness, help them in staying physically fit and healthy at the same time learning the values of fairness, respect and discipline”, Martinez added.
Highlighting the opening program was the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025 judged by Mr. Rico Montebon, Mr. Steve and Mrs. Dorotea Clark and hosted by Mr. Gin Ryan Torrefiel and Mrs. Mariecris S. Dolino.
The winners were Keziah Rob Arbe A. Pontillas (Grade 10 Thessalonia) as Mr. Intramurals and Best in Sports Wear and Crishia Mae B. Bensing (Grade 10 Bethany) as Ms. Intramurals 2025.
First runner-up was Jandrian R. Lagrada (Grade 9 Capernaum) and Jillian Roa (Grade 8 Mt. Carmel); second runner-up Jhasper R. Engid (Grade 8 Mt. Carmel) and Ephrel Faith B. Del Valle (Grade 12 Ophiuchus) also Best in Production Number; third runner-up Chad Aiden Z. Lumongsod (Grade 12 Ophiuchus) also Best in Production Number and Jaraiah Twain M. Bronsal (Grade 8 Nineveh) and fourth runner-up Jhon Leonard C. Saludar (Grade 11 Aquila) and Paula Mayet E. Ceniza (Grade 10 Syria).
Bianca Aguanta from Grade 12 Phoenix bagged the Best in Sports Attire, respectively.
The event continued with indoor and outdoor games such as basketball and volleyball for boys and girls, takraw, table tennis, badminton, chess, futsal and athletics games that includes 50m, 100m, Shot Put and Long Jump.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Secondary Learner’s Government (SSLG) and Project We advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty (WATCH) officers also prepared face paint, stickers and keychains, radio message, photobooth, blind date booth, jail and marriage booths for students.
The Intramural Games are annual recreational activities within primary and secondary schools pursuant to Republic Act No. 5708 also known as "The Schools Physical Education and Sports Development Act of 1969.
